About me.

My name is Lucía Derqui, and I am a Graphic Design student currently in my third year at the Escola Superior de Disseny de València (EASD). I am passionate about exploring various branches of graphic design, with a strong focus on editorial and web design, as well as corporate identity and poster design. I am always excited by the challenge of bringing a visual concept to life, whether through digital mediums or analog techniques.

Throughout my projects, I’ve developed a preference for clean, minimalist aesthetics, where simplicity, order, and contrast play a vital role. I believe that design is more than just creating an image; it is about crafting a powerful visual language that can convey ideas, emotions, and concepts effectively. For me, design serves as a tool to communicate meaning and evoke a response, making each project a unique narrative.
Photography is another significant aspect of my creative process. I often incorporate my own original photographs into my designs, which adds a personal touch and allows me to create more authentic and engaging visuals. This hands-on approach not only enriches my work but also enables me to push creative boundaries and experiment with different visual styles.

I consider myself a versatile, organized, and curious designer, capable of adapting to new challenges and collaborating effectively in a team environment. I draw inspiration from everyday life, the people I meet, the places I visit, and the experiences I live. I am constantly seeking new sources of creativity, always ready to learn and evolve as both a designer and an individual.
